Event Description: The 26th Annual Spring Valley Walleye Run 5k is Race Number 1 on the Starved Rock Runners, Ltd. Race Circuit. Sponsored by the Spring Valley Walleye Club, Inc., the run takes place at Hall High School, 800 West Erie, Spring Valley, IL 61362. The 3.1 mile course is accurately measured with splits every mile and is electronically timed. Race also features aid stations on course, traffic control, refreshments, showers,and more. The 13.1 mile run starts at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, 212 N. 6th Street, Springfield, IL and finishes at the Prairie Heart Institute (at St. John's Hospital), 619 E. Mason, Springfield, IL. Race day registration and pickup is from 6:30 am to 7:15 am. at the Prairie Heart Institute. Event Description: Starved Rock Runners, Ltd. Circuit Race. The 10 km race begins at 8 am at the Huntley Middle School, 1515 S. 4th St., DeKalb, IL 60115 on Barb Boulevard. There is also a 3km Walk/Run at 7:55 am. The USATF Certified course (IL-02042-JW) winds through the southwesterly residential areas and parks of the City of DeKalb, IL. The course entails several short hills yet overall is considered flat and fast. Mile splits provided every mile.
